fuck technical assessment interviews. Nothing on earth gives me more anxiety than some stranger watching me code and judging me. 110% likely to fuck up and make bad decisions and overlook my mistakes. Im about to quit programming for a living before I do that ever again.

I donβt want to change jobs because I donβt want to go through technical interviews again. Sorry I donβt remember an equation from university 7 years ago. I know how to google it though

I always thought it was a far better design to come up with some realistic (but toy, not "real work") thing, brief it in a github repo, give almost no other context, and then give it to someone to work on however they want. Then you can see what they do - especially see how they communicate around it (or not).

The best people often don't "test well"...and the worst folks can very often sail through pretend or ineffective interview gates with ease. This shit drives me wild too! On both sides of the equation.
