This channel is getting quite popular so let's have a conversation about channel norms. Should we have some rules in place? If you were to make them, what would you add? Currently the only rule is no shilling under somebody else's work. Give us your thoughts and ideas. Let's discuss them.

Here's a hard line rule that will rustle feathers, not setting it in place but placing it up for discussion: No posting art that is not relevant to cryptoart or a minted piece, or soon to be minted. For example no images with the caption GM but no link to the work minted somewhere, or a note about venting it soon

i've always been a little unclear what constitutes crypto art, seems like as you mentioned as long as it's minted on a block chain whether crypto themed art or not it qualifies (???) seems like also in the case of my un-minted cherish the SEC series would be acceptable as it is directly related to crypto culture (???)

i really don’t mind gm’s. it’s a form of hello + that shouldn’t be discouraged. agreed a bit of context can be nice: title of piece, year made, etc. if it makes people feel more comfy to see the piece as a link that seems fine + smart. if the piece isn’t minted yet, links shouldn’t be a pre-req to sharing.

hmm this brings to mind sharing works in progress…would those be ok in this scenario since they don’t have links yet? i really like seeing people’s art even if they just say gm, love seeing an artist’s brain space at that moment ✏️

I’m an artist and I love posting about other artists…. Including trad artists & their work. Sharing articles about classes, expos, installations, and gallery sales etc. Artists need to pay attention to what’s going on in the art world.
