@muskempire Rico Nasty's punk-rap energy is in its own class. Baby Keem's adlibs deserve a special award in itself, tbh. Cochise is king of carefree, plain and simple. A Larry June discography feels much like a self-help audiobook. What puts Lil Baby away from everybody else is this work ethic. Rod Wave talks to a more universal pain. If Cardi B wanted, she can out-rap most the game. KayCyy sounds like he uses different dimension vocals.

Which authors and books do you consider essential to your language — so significant that people might want to learn the language specifically to read them in original? E.g. I’ve met people whose primary motivation to learn Russian was to read Dostoyevsky. I myself would love to be able to read Pessoa in Portuguese one day (though it’s not my main motivation).
