you guys are children so probably don’t even remember having to hustle to get very rare and exclusive gmail invites back in the day. gmail was a very early tech scene status symbol

i do in fact remember needing an invite from a university friend of mine have a coveted normal name gmail address (which replaced my loadmail address) a few people share my name and i still get emails for them as a result
