I like sci-fi and crime/mystery novels the most, but am open to anything 

Ideally looking for books that have been released in the last decade or so

have you read Altered Carbon? there's only like three of them but they are one of my favorites of all time & it's literally like jack reacher in a sci-fi world with all sorts of good stuff

How do they compare to the tv show? I loved season 1 so might have to jump into these

Yeah season 2 was trash, sadly. Will definitely check out the books though

SO much better tbh. Like season one *kinda* got the character. Season two was terribly tho. Really bummed they ruined one of the best narratives etc.
