Who needs a single $18 Erewhon strawberry? Not me. I’ll take mine straight from Tochigi. The red ones are soooo sweet. They almost taste fake, like sugar syrup was injected directly into them. The white are much crisper with a bit of a tart finish.

You can buy them in Japan for decent prices but there are special varieties that are grown for specific flavor profiles.
