You’re welcome! You can always customize a Notion .site subdomain in your workspace settings 😁 and if you’re on a paid plan, you can customize the URL ending!

To be honest, did not feel like paying as this does not make me any money :)

Fair enough 😌 though you can also at least customize the primary subdomain on your workspace β€” even on a free plan ✨

Updated! I wanted to hide the link at first. But notion would not resolve it if I do. I guess they don't want other hostings to do this. I couldn't use the direct link either. Had to use a url shortner first.

Not sure I understand completely β€” but if you updated it, what I was hoping to see happen is that your previous URL would redirect to the new subdomain, which it did not πŸ₯² sorry about that! I’ll reach out to them with that feedback. May want to make a PSA on your original post with the updated URL.

As per my previous cast, what I said or wanted to say. When I take the notion link and put it as a forward link in my domain. Notion does not want to display it. I made a work around by putting the link inside a url shortner and forwarding my domain to that shortner.

Ahhh okay β€” you know that actually makes sense; I think I encountered this same error when I tried to do a forward link from my main domain to my Notion Marketplace profile (it didn’t work, as you described). I’ll also give them some feedback on this & hopefully there’s something that can be done.

I wonder if this is on purpose. As they do provide this service as a premium plan. What I wanted to do basically avoids paying notion for premium. Adding to this, I have a toggle on my domain host that says masked or unmasked. Meaning when I mask the Notion link would not display but only the domain name. When activating it won't load the notion page. Seems like Notion has some tools to prevent us doing this. Can't blame them if they offer this service themselves.

Yeah that makes sense, as it is a service they’re now providing for Notion itself β€” and perhaps if this is also the case for the Marketplace itself, then it is likely they will offer directly mapping a custom domain to user profiles right within the marketplace settings… though it is not yet an option.
