Is it illegal to give away money to followers?

What if I said I would give 1 ETH to a randomly chosen follower this Friday? 

Screw it, let's do it. I'm gonna give someone 1 ETH on Friday.

I don't usually share this, but we do social work in vulnerable areas. Due to limited resources, we can now only do it once a month and not as we'd like.

We provide meals for 50 children and donate to shelters for abandoned and special needs kids. Despite the challenges, we remain committed to helping.
