Southwest Idaho Health District Bans COVID-19 Vaccines – CBS 

⏺The Southwest Idaho Health District will no longer offer COVID-19 vaccines to residents across six counties.

⏺The decision was made at an October 22 meeting, where the district's board voted 4-3 to prohibit vaccine distribution.

⏺The district's medical director, Dr. Perry Jansen, argued in favor of the vaccine, noting, “This isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach where everyone receives a shot. It’s a thoughtful approach.”

⏺However, Jansen’s comments were countered by over 290 public statements calling to end taxpayer funding for vaccines.

⏺This decision makes the Southwest Idaho Health District the first in the nation to restrict the availability of COVID-19 vaccines.
