Ancient Saber-Toothed Kitten Found Frozen in Siberia’s Permafrost

⏺In a stunning discovery, scientists have unearthed a 35,000-year-old mummified saber-toothed kitten from the Siberian permafrost, near the Badyarikha River. 

⏺This extraordinarily well-preserved specimen retains its fur, skeletal structure, and other key features, providing an unprecedented look into the life of Homotherium latidens. Researchers are already exploring its unique physical traits, which differ significantly from those of modern lion cubs, to better understand how these ancient predators adapted to the Ice Age environment.
