something that's been nice about this year is i've been making it a point to read alot more 

finished 6 books in the past couple of months doing a few at a time

i love to read and feel out of sync when i'm not, that's one part

another is reading as fuel for my own creative writing - sometimes you don't take any inspiration from a book, but i think it's ideal to flood the mind with ideas as you never know what might inspire what
