Well said… while there will always be unforeseen circumstances to any innovation, we can only hope it will be steered in a direction that at the very least mitigates harm and ideally enables the betterment of as many people as possible.

Yes I’d pick 2 over 1. As a reader I want to read first before subbing and if I’ve put that much time in I’m happy to click through to sub anyway. Ideal however would be to read and sub in frame. Mint in frame is less of a priority.

I’m based in New Zealand but couldn’t see if there was a location preference on the Global Ecosystem Growth Lead position? Have a strong background between marketing, product, comms and building in web3. Located works well between various time zones down here and this sounds like a very exciting role! 👀

Someone buys you a garish looking plate for your birthday which will probably be hidden away except when they come to visit. Then you find out it’s quite an expensive plate by a famous artist. You appreciate it as a gift more… but are you still going to hide it away?

The only way I’ve found to deal with this is to have a notepad/mobile/laptop on hand to jot down the idea. It’s like scribbling notes on the pages themselves or a sleep journal by the bed, a way to stop it echoing around my skull so I can keep reading… or sleep!

One of my biggest challenges with reading is focus… you’d think the better the book the more focussed I am but it’s the opposite. The better the book (talking non-fiction) the more it triggers ideas and mental notes in my brain. Suddenly I’m half a page down and I’ve not taken a word in… so back I go! 🙄

Would love to join the team when you open to different timezones. I’m New Zealand based but when I worked remote as Client Partner with a US ad agency I did early starts for team meetings and the crossover with other timezones in my day (ie Asia) can be an advantage. I’m primarily brand marketing, strategy & comms.

I agree UX is important though I'd suggest Use Case is more important (is UC designer a thing? or is that just a Founder?) I also can't help but think of how the internet itself went mainstream long before good UX came along... because openly connecting the world online became something we all realized was the future.
