if your consumer app doesn't make the user money, doesn't give users status & you don't have existing distribution, it's going to take a while, and you may still fail.

I miss the good ol' days when you had to mine your tokens. At least you knew the work you did would be rewarded. Sadly "community" is nothing more than number in a pitch meeting these days.
