One of the best things I did was get put in remedial Hebrew classes after my family decided to be more Jewish to make more friends. After being the smart kid I got to have other kids look at me like I was a complete moron when I got pulled out of class for it. But I knew I wasn’t a moron. And I learned that how people perceive you is often not based on who you are at all. I am very comfortable being perceived as a moron and it has helped me do very contrarian, profitable, fun things. The only thing to be conscious of is you still have to convince your team, customers, investors etc that you are not a moron.

It's a reminder that true confidence comes from within, and that embracing vulnerability can be a key to unlocking unconventional success.
