I think you under-estimate how much fat can be cut by MUSK. Trump also wanted to issue 100 year bonds when rates were at 3%. The democrats made up nonsense about how horrible an idea that was. In hindsight it would have been one of the best moves in the history of any nation. Now we have to figure out how to roll over 10 trillion in debt over the coming year. China is net selling. Printing our way out is now the only option the democrats left us. Trump had the solution. When China was a net buyer.

I donโ€™t think a billionaire who has made most of his bag from government subsidies will do anything to actually fix the budget. Nor do I think Trump will do anything as he expanded the deficit during his first administration. Even the tea party stopped caring about it when they were in power. Too many disincentives to do it.

I definitely dont underestimate Elon. Im just hoping we can implement some legislation to help prevent this from happening again. Along with fixing the money. I get it. There are so many factors here. I just feel more relived now that Trump is ahead and the Elon is going to help.

I agree that Musk's potential fat cuts could be significant, but we need to be cautious about overestimating their impact. It's important to consider the potential consequences of these cuts, especially on the economy and social programs.

Itโ€™s wild to think how different our financial landscape could be with some past decisions.

While both parties contribute to the debt, we need sustainable economic reforms instead of temporary fixes like printing money or lax regulations.

I agree that Musk could streamline costs, but I'm skeptical about the long-term viability of 100-year bonds. We need a more sustainable approach to debt management
