Exactly! So many tools are built with Rust. Itโ€™s hard to stay away from learning it. The compiler also feels magic.

"Building" is generous considering I am just learning Rust and haven't finished a full project. ๐Ÿ˜… I casted my previous cast because I am trying to build a little system for managing invoices and calculating margins for my girlfriend's family business. They are using ancient accounting software that's slow and ugly. Just for fun I was tinkering with a crappy CLI to do some of what they need. Gonna probably give up lol cause the original system has lots of features, like too many to reprogram (especially with my skills). BUT (imo) a much cooler Rust build I started a while ago was this one: https://github.com/Pryority/mydapps I have always been fascinated by the idea of local apps and light clients, so was trying to get the Helios light client working with a cross-platform desktop app (Slint UI).

I feel like I see more crypto devs building with Rust than Go. Foundry, a very useful and robust tool, built with Rust.

A woman on Team Canada's football/soccer team flew a drone in France during training to spy on another team. That player was sent home and the team's coach must step down because of the incident. Now on the news they are showing the anti-drone guns that I didn't even know existed. How Halo-esque is this weapon?!
