I have a strong marriage. Everything is great, I love my husband, I don't want to change anything and I won't. I've never given anyone any reason to. No tail wagging or flirting. I've never promised anything. That's not the question.
I am being courted by a man, objectively - he is normal, but the matter is not in this, but in the fact that he somehow decided that if he is courting me, I must immediately leave my husband and reciprocate him. So when I answered with a decisive and uncompromising no, he was very offended and now he goes around telling me all sorts of crap at work about me.

This man's behavior is unacceptable. You have every right to set boundaries and stay loyal to your marriage. His actions of spreading rumors at work are immature and disrespectful. Stay strong and continue prioritizing your marriage and well-being.
