/daylight is hiring. The endgame: the crypto ad network - one of the biggest opportunities in crypto. Ads drive 17% of US GDP, and they will drive a significant portion of onchain GDP. All past attempts at creating a crypto ad network have failed to bootstrap the network because they couldn't get reach. We found the way to wedge on reach - onchain for you: personalized transaction recs on the home pages of wallet apps like Coinbase Wallet, Metamask, Zerion, OKX Wallet, and more. @morley and I have been working together for 6 years in crypto - it's hard to find a founding team this tight who has been in the industry this long - and @usv led our recent round. We are looking for two staff backend engineers with deep experience designing and scaling REST APIs. Our API serves tens of thousands of requests per second, summarizing millions of rows of offchain data and terabytes of onchain data in 750ms or less. I just read “A Fire Upon the Deep” and it scratches that epic space opera feel, though less “Star Wars” and more “2001”. Children of Time too. Reading those made it harder to read books with wishy-washy sci-fi logic.

A lot of the "monster of the week" episodes of X-Files have this quality. I'd look up "top 10 episodes of x-files" on Google and watch whatever comes up there. Another tack is to watch all the episodes written by Darin Morgan.

The top of my list is Lebowski, Dumb and Dumber, Clueless, Superbad, Mean Girls, and Romy and Michele. The funniest “recent” movie I’ve seen is Game Night from 2018. The Week Of is one of the funnier post-streaming movies I’ve seen.

I think The Orphanage (from Spain) has one of the best horror stories. Kwaidan is one of the most visually striking. House (1977) is completely batshit, just rewatched that today. People say good things about Ugetsu and Cure but I haven’t seen them yet.
