BTW to clarify this: If the Trump administration can't do tariffs on the one clear thing that actually is the power center of the next 20 years, all of this struggle will be revealed to be kabuki theater. Chips are really the only thing that matters and Nvidia is probably the only thing that arguably needs tariffs and trade restrictions. This means the stocks in the Mag 7 should crash as everyone realizes they aren't businesses but nationalized government assets, and this may cause everything else to crash. I'd assign the probability of him actually following through on this at 20%. I hope he just rolls over to the market but I think everyone else assigns the probability at 2%. Let's hope that he just capitulates again to Wall Street and the interest rates.
