Elon also totally has to know about Farcaster by now. He had a number of tweets asking where and why Vitalik stopped tweeting when he was exclusively on Farcaster.

Ideally if he cared about free speech, he would look to integrate Farcaster as the backend of Twitter, and nothing is stopping him from doing it. The issue is he took on a massive amount of debt to buy Twitter, so running a centralized ad market is more profitable. His incentives are just not aligned to actually decentralizing Twitter or caring about decentralized social media.
