Yeah! It's not too hard. You can order the cable and connectors in bulk and then with some basic soldering assemble them in whatever length you need. 
It's orders of magnitude cheaper than buying them pre-made.

It's not hard! There are good tutorials online and you can always practice first on discarded circuits so you aren't worried about breaking something expensive.

I have yet to learn how to solder, I like tinkering with tech, but I've only gotten as far as replacing parts or building my PC, never soldering.
