I recently had a discussion with the CEO of a headphone company who wants to do some kind of web3 rewards program. I'm wondering if people here have any thoughts about companies introducing web3 features that probably aren't completely necessary?

Current opinion - unnecessary. 

Although I am curious about it. What would be the direct benefit to the users?

Interesting approach to start from a technology.
