ITAP of a Kauai Hawaiian monk seal pup a few years ago, about six weeks apart... Annie and I had been on Kauai in July, celebrating our anniversary, and got to see this little baby monk seal at less than a day old. We went back in September to see the mother and pup pair still together near the end of the weaning period.

He’s a little cutie… also an interesting note that he is the younger brother of both Kaimana (one of our most famous Hawaiian monk seals, being the first known pup born in Waikiki, and watched by 3MM+ viewers worldwide on a live stream for her nursing window back in 2017), and “The Rescue” (born in 2018), so they are all born to Rocky.
