And yet almost no fraud and people still don’t vote. I love that people can walk in, sign their name and then help determine the future of the country.

Learning what I can.  Human and dog dad.  Enjoying the land of ham, tophats and the next new thing I missed already by not being online every hour of the day.

That’s a very optimistic view my friend, I see where you are coming from. But there are ongoing investigations of irregularities and it opens the door for future manipulation - even if they may not have happened yet. And carrying an ID shouldn’t be a high burden for anyone. 

Just imagine mass migration of Russian/Chinese citizens as it is already happening and they could vote too in such a setup and shape the politics and future of the country as their originating countries want it.

US has never had full ID ownership, or voting requirements for ID, and has almost no voter fraud. This is moral panic about a theoretical scenario that doesn’t exist!

A scenario that we are *currently* avoiding and have never experienced in the history of the country. Does that sound like a good thing to focus on?

Very naive view. A theoretical scenario that is easy to avoid unless you want to make it happen.
