I'm confused by those who believe the DNC will support crypto. Where's the flaw in the below thinking? Assumption 1: Democrats and the US state have merged into one group. Assumption 2: Crypto explicitly challenges the dollar, the power core of this group. Conclusion: Since crypto threatens the Dems' global power, they will be the last to accept it—just like the Catholic Church resisted the printing press until defeat was inevitable.

There’s a revolving door between government agencies and Democratic Party power centers, like big tech, mainstream media, and universities. Recent examples include the head of the NSA moving to OpenAI and Jen Psaki getting her own show on MSNBC. Before 2016 and Trump, the USA was basically a one-party system, with Ds and Rs agreeing on the key issues -- defense, trade, and immigration. Trump diverged from these positions, and many Bush-Cheney Republicans (ie the Rs from the one-party world) defected to the Democrat Party. Eg Frum and Wehner write for the Atlantic now.
