you...still are? this is not a counterpoint, other people can do bad things too. but you left and are doing literally nothing to fix it, just bitching about it on the internet from afar. what did you do to prevent any of this? did you run for office? did you support advocates of your beliefs with time/work/money? did you even vote? because it kinda sounds like you did nothing, things turned out differently than you wanted, and then you ran away ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ THAT is the anti-american bit. whining nonstop, blaming one small group rather than obvious structural issues, and not offering a single solution, in fact advocating that everyone just leave. your incentives are completely aligned with the US failing. start being part of the solution or shut the fuck up.

counterpoint: I think whining publicly is an example of "did you support advocates of your beliefs with time/work/money"? based on his platform, that's probably the use of his time that is most likely to enact the change he wants to see - which is to change the people who are in office

but he isn't supporting any advocates for his beliefs. he's calling the democrats bad and saying the solution is to leave; no productive alternative. at least people like sacks or elon are endorsing an alternative...this is 100% net negative on the US.

right he is offering to exit, which is the nature of technology. When you build a new tech, it is basically exit the current system. Look Amazon, Tesla, Google. Also you could look at it from a game theory perspective, or a third alternative ... it is not democrat nor republican but a network state. Does that help the incumbent? I think he hopes it will provide a check and balance for the incumbent to 'behave'. Competition in general is good. and there is a sign of that happening, you see some states already 'accept' BTC or even Congress is having this conversation too.

ah I see that - yeah it aligns with the network state ideology which is probably an underlying motivation. I haven't been following all his tweets / casts so I'm looking at this one in isolation.
