Farcaster is named after a science fiction technology from the book Hyperion. The ‘farcaster’ is an teleportal that allows characters in the book to step from one planet or world to another. The inspiration for stargates and the namesake of Farcaster. Great book. Sci-fantasy Canterbury Tales.
