Some takeaways from last night's State of the Union (sadly not recorded because we couldn't get FarHouse to work but we had fun testing the Spaces mini app by @moe!) The narrative "come to Farcaster to make money" is terrible and incentivizes the wrong behavior. If your reason to come here is money, you are going to be disappointed and probably won't do well. If you come to hang out with builders and innovators, you will come across opportunities not found elsewhere and you may make a few dollars here and there. I think the better narrative around money would be aimed at content creators. If you are already making great content, come to Farcaster and use the legos and rails here to take control of your audience and money making opportunities without platforms taking huge cuts of your revenue. The idea that hanging out on Farcaster full time is equivalent to a full time job income is just not true. It may one day be for the top 1% of users, the same as any other web2 platform.

It actually went great! What I miss most about Tavern is Closed Captioning so everyone can read along. Great for non native English speakers. What I miss about FarHouse is chat. I did have a few weird things like people would sound really far away and then come back at full volume. We love the emojis. People went back and forth quickly between hand up and heart to simulate clapping which was awesome. I had to bounce and since I was the host it killed the space. Being able to add a cohost would be epic. Overall, it was fantastic and it's super cool! I loved being able to minimize and look things up on Warpcast while we were talking!
