Overheard a commercial for a medication while my roommate was watching TV. It said “don’t stop taking ___ unless your doctor tells you to” but this indirectly is already telling you to not stop taking said medication. Be aware of the subliminal messaging your brain is being trained to believe.

If a medication is not actively making you better or enabling your normal functioning, then yeah stop taking it, don’t just wait for a doctor to tell you, because they won’t. Be aware of what you hear, and make conscious decisions not believe what isn’t logical.

I know people who’ve been taking antidepressants for years. They’re not supposed to be taken for life, it’s supposed to be an on-ramp that enables you to make better choices, and those choices are what make you not depressed, and then you get off the meds. But no one will get you off the meds except you.
