Since I started in crypto 3 years ago, I’ve run dozens of user interviews, trying to crack the crypto adoption funnel. How does someone go from normie → newbie → savvy? Where do they start? One theme has stood out: Everyone has a friend who helps. Someone who walks them through setting up a wallet, depositing funds, and making them feel safe: a trusted guide. For me, that person was my now-husband, who onboarded me to Fortmatic (now magic labs). And when I talk to users today, the story hasn’t changed. ~40% of survey respondents cited trust as the biggest barrier to entry in crypto. And honestly, that’s not surprising given all the rugs, scams, and hacks. Trust is everything. Crypto products should feel like a friend guiding you through the process. How did you get into crypto? Who, or what, helped you take the first step?

Well depends on what you mean by "crypto adoption". Do you mean consumer crypto? Or do you mean degenning? Degenning will always be a niche thing, and I doubt majority of the population will do anything degen specific when it comes to crypto, except very basic things. They hardly even do it when it comes to TradFi. I think consumer crypto on the other hand, utilizing crypto rails is a better use case.
