I see a relation to what you've written about short vs. longform communication. I wonder: is it possible to come to thoughtful conclusions from shortform comms? I'm skeptical. Forming opinions should be a longform process. Gaining information from diverse sources, having meaningful discussion with diverse people. Reflecting and leaving space for new learning. But social media encourages quicker opinion-making using bits of information from the boldest, most outrageous, or most followed. I think it's cultural and sm platforms can influence how people engage with information.
