Understanding this, I think it's amazing how entire interactions can be built on the labels we have for one another. Labels distance us or restrict the relationships we might have.

Labels made me comfortable and kept me from intentionally getting to know the people I thought I knew. But we evolve constantly and by depending on the labels, I stopped working to get to know someone. It created distance.
