Nice! What's your mix like? Do you add worms? I have a tiny compost. Haven't braved into anything this large...yet. 15 $degen

Just made a new leaf based compost pile...but the previous one was part leaf, part sifted wood chips...added in chicken manure (all organic feed), pruned clippings. Also when veggies or fruit goes bad I throw it in there...every banana peel/apple core etc. a couple years ago I bought 2 containers of worms from "Uncle Jim's Worm Farm", put them into the compost bin...They've been thriving in there and multiplying. Anyway, compost is an absolute staple to organic gardening, so a pile always has to be maintained. I definitely recommend starting one brother!

I'm motivated to level up. Need to grab a big bin next time I'm at the hardware store. Maybe one with a latch...there are raccoons and possums around. 😅 I bought worms for the garden a few years ago and they've done well. I see them all over. Will be sure to add more to the compost.

Can always add to it slowly, as you accumulate material etc. lidded bins or mid size trash can works great. I drilled holes around the whole thing about 5-6" apart in order to help with the air flow...Sometimes I will poke a piece of bamboo through in various spots to help with the airflow. The compost has no foul odor, just the scent of soil...May be something to consider The worms were the best addition as it made the compost rich with castings and the breaks down the food.

Nice, okay. This should get me off to a good start. I've been amazed at how quickly a landscape can transform with a bit of care. This will be a next big step for my space. Thanks for the direction.
