IQ tests are missing something. Some classically high-IQ people have a common limitation that manifests as literal thinking. There exists a conceptual intelligence not unlike spatial intelligence which operates on conceptual intersections themselves. Artists are often talented in this regard.

That’s true, but to a limited extent. I think consistently performing more than 15 points higher than an initial baseline would be very difficult. ￼￼

The thing about an IQ test that bugs me is that you can study for it to score better, which does not make a lot of sense to me

There are many tests assessing different kinds of intelligence (IQ, creativity, kinetic, etc). :)
