I’m bullish on FC because people can build on the graph without permission. A Twitter alternative is a very good seed (if not the best), but IMO what will bring the next 100k users is a cultural experience they cannot get elsewhere. This might be a few web2 derivative apps, but more likely, a novel web3 one.

Easy to say, of course. If I were building a FC derivative atm, I'd do: 1. Spaces/clubhouse: There are many accomplished and interesting casters. People will sign up to listen to them. I'd make interviews a thing. 2. Reddit: Current FC could support AI/crypto/NFTs subs. DAO functionality could be a feature.

I like how you said 'a cultural experience' vs a 'digital experience' (which I hear referenced a lot as being 'the thing'. The former appeals to everyone, whereas the latter does not.

The insane Twitter API price change that happened recently just pushed the incentive for something open like FC to succeed. Anyone/any app can just run their own Hubs and have unlimited "API" access.

If you believe this (I also do) then WC is basically the onboarding stage for whatever the next novel app is. Building clients shouldn’t try to compete with WC but instead leverage it’s reach and community factors

The best tech is tech that gets out of your way & let’s you enjoy the experience with minimal friction. Almost every web3 app tries to differentiate itself by distancing itself from web2. Few will care what it’s built on if they’re having fun. FC has a high signal to noise ratio. Thats its killer feature
