In an election season where the democrats attempted to pass super cruel border policies, courted dick and Liz Cheney endorsements, told their Muslim demographic to fuck off, and tried their hardest to shy away from identity politics, it blows my mind people are blaming the democrats for being "too far left wing."

i think for issues like that one it's more voters picking up on the priorities of the dem political class. kamala as VP of course did not have direct power to enact any legislation

in general, i think this election for many was more trump vs. the left broadly more than vs kamala

also, when all the votes are counted, there weren't really that many fewer votes this time around than in 2020, so the staying home narrative falls flat as well

I totally will admit my bias, but all this proves to me is that among people who voted (which leaves out a lot of people who previously voted biden but didn't vote this time, but that's another topic) is that republican narratives won this election. Kamala didn't do shit for transgendered anything, yet according to the poll it was a big deal. Republicans were the only ones talking about it.
