Own The Doge

Around 280 years ago, they planted cherry trees to keep the Arakawa River from flooding. This move not only beefed up the riverbanks and made things look nicer but also started a tradition everyone loves. Today, checking out the cherry blossoms is still a big thing all over Japan.

In Japanese history, Tokugawa Tsunayoshi decided to plant cherry blossoms along the Arakawa River. As a result, rows of cherry trees were set up along the riverbanks, creating a beautiful scenery that everyone loved. It's an amazing initiative that gathered support and addressed environmental concerns.
