Volcano Aogashima Aogashima is a tiny tropical island in the Philippine Sea, ruled by Tokyo. Aogashima is the most isolated island in the Izu archipelago, where a huge volcano is located. The island itself is a volcano, and in its center there is another smaller volcano. With a population of about 200 people, Aogashima is also the smallest village in Japan.
