Nachi Waterfall Japan Nachi Falls is the tallest waterfall in the country, dropping 133 meters (430 feet) into a fast-flowing river. But the falls are second in beauty to the Shinto shrine of Nachi Taisha, which is said to be over 1,400 years old. Built to honor the kami (spirit god) of the falls, the shrine is one of several Buddhist and Shinto religious sites built around the falls.

Matsumoto Castle Matsumoto Castle is one of the few remaining authentic castles in Japan. Originally built in 1504, it was expanded to its current form in the late 16th and early 17th centuries. Nicknamed Karasu-jo (Crow Castle), it is known for its beautiful black and white three-towered keep.

Bojnice Castle is located on a hill and is surrounded by the town of the same name. This citadel is one of the oldest and most valuable in Slovakia. It has existed for more than 10 centuries - the first mention of Bojnice Castle is found in historical documents in 1113. Initially, Bojnice Castle was wooden, but later it was rebuilt from stone. Already in the Middle Ages, the building could boast of having a sewer and running water - this was a rarity for that time.

Giethoorn Netherlands Giethoorn is a tiny village in the province of Overijssel in the east of the country. This charming place has no cars or roads at all, because Giethoorn is located on the water. Therefore, all movement here is done by boat. Due to its small size, the "Venice of the North", as this village is often called, is often crowded. The best way to have a good time in Giethoorn is to rent a boat and explore the city by moving along the canals. This way, you can stop wherever and whenever it suits you. If you are not in the mood to manage your own boat, you can join one of the many boat excursions.

Karlštejn Castle Czech Republic Very close to Prague is Karlštejn Castle, the first in the list of the ten most beautiful castles in the Czech Republic. The most popular among tourists, Karlštejn Castle was founded in the 14th century! Built in the best traditions of Gothic architecture, the castle was a kind of repository of regalia and relics of Charles IV, although it was built as a summer residence of His Majesty. And the "heart" of this majestic building is rightfully considered the Chapel of the Holy Cross.

Anglesey The largest island in Wales and the fifth largest in the UK, Anglesey is an inspiring and vibrant place. Once you arrive, you can’t help but admire the stunning coastline and the colourful towns and villages. The unspoilt countryside invites you to enjoy walking, the coastal paths and roads invite you to cycle, and the sandy beaches are fantastic in the warmer months for diving, surfing and sailing.

St Michael's Mount England The island monastery of St. Michael's Mount ("Mount of St. Michael") was founded in the 12th century by Benedictine monks. This is a tidal island: at low tide you can reach it along a special path paved along the seabed, and at high tide it becomes completely inaccessible. St Michael's Mount has been called the "jewel in Cornwall's crown" and is often compared to the French abbey of Mont Saint Michel.

Skellig-Michael Ireland Sailing west from the coast of County Kerry, after 15 kilometers travelers will be greeted by a rocky island, the shores of which look like a petrified ocean wave. It is difficult to imagine that for 6 centuries this stone island was inhabited - back at the end of the 6th century, a monastery was built from rock fragments at the very top of the cliff - the monastic cells miraculously stayed on the rocky walls.

Dunnottar Castle Scotland The most beautiful, though slightly gloomy ruins with a terrible history, are located on the top of a cliff with 50-meter rocky cliffs. The ruins of Dunnottar Castle look very impressive from the outside, and from the castle itself there are breathtaking views of the North Sea and the rocky coast with sandy beaches. The ruins of the castle are blown by the salty sea wind, and seagulls fly overhead. Visiting the castle is like a small adventure - to get into the gloomy ruins with a terrible history, you first need to go down a narrow path to the foot of the cliff, and then climb up a steep slope to the medieval gates, where a stern local girl will charge you 10 pounds for entry.

Dingle is one of the smallest but most colorful peninsulas in the south of Ireland. Rough ocean, inaccessible cliffs and winding roads contrast with cute colorful villages and friendly dolphins. Dun Chaoin Pier is the most popular place among photographers. If you're lucky, you might catch a flock of sheep climbing up this path.
