6. Avoid plastic bags. Because they are very difficult to decompose. This means that they cannot easily degrade over time. Dumping plastic waste into bodies of water puts various aquatic animals at risk. These animals can include sea turtles, fish, etc.

My cat once got tangled in a plastic bag. Good thing I was home at the time. It's scary to imagine wild animals getting tangled in plastic bags.
