I actually stood there today wondering where Monet’s atelier would have been Monet writes: “As long as the sun shines on it, there will be as many ways to be the cathedral of Rouen as there are ways humans can divide time.” Monet believed the appearance of any subject is inseparable from the momentary conditions of light and atmosphere in which it was viewed, making each moment's view unique and worthy of capture.
