My 3 year old Macbook Air with a 
m2 chip was on its last legs. 

I'm very labor intensive on my electronics. 

The touchpad barely worked anymore 
one of the 2 thunder ports didn't work. 

I broke down & got a brand new M3-
Midnight Blue beauty with 1 TB of memory
16 gigs of ram, what a difference!

yea, and so far from what I can tell worth every penny, I haven't really torn the roof off yet but getting zero lag on any multiple app usage toggling between different design programs so far.

The RAM was historically the bottleneck but doesn’t feel like it with M series …haven’t hit the limits ever really on Mac Mini

Whereas the Air is ok ish…on heavy tasks it is limited

at 16 gigs of ram I don't think I'll max it out with most the applications I use however for 200 bucks more you can bump it up to 24g which I considered but have a feeling it would have been overkill.
