Do you think I can bring a poisonous snake preserved in alcohol through US Customs? I can’t ship it home. Alcohol is not allowed to be shipped anymore. It’s quite delicious. I’ve never had a sake quite like it. It’s blended with the snake venom? (I think…definitely heard “poison” during the explanation) and 13 different Chinese herbs. The taste of turmeric, ginseng, and licorice is very strong. The sign says to dispose of the snake as “food waste” … but to NOT touch the fangs. Maybe I’ll ask if I can buy a bottle without the snake. 2025 is the year of the snake. I’m embracing it.

Wine is unlikely to be shipped to the United States without clear ingredients or inspection paperwork. If it does ship, duties will likely be high.

ChatGPT really came though. Unless the snake is endangered by the US, it’s allowed since it’s dead but I have to be at an inspection point with a specific type of inspection officer and my flight arrives into NYC very late so it will have to remain at customs if I get a through officer.
