I have to admit, in the last few years being full time web3, I’m really disappointed with how we have failed to produce meaningful projects that have gone mainstream. At most, featured articles in newspapers. But that’s it. Otherwise, it’s mainly insular projects servicing a dwindling or lackadaisical audience.

web3 ux is too complicated for 99% of humanity to use let alone understand. I wouldn’t expect that to change any time soon.

It’s not even just the UX. It’s about our ethos. It seems to me like although there are people in web3 that want to apply web3 concepts to the world, there’s such a huge insistence on doing things a web3 way. Like all this money in web3 but very few projects that apply outwardly like Ukraine DAO.

I think the ethos is especially hard for the average person to understand. 9 out 10 folks I tell people I work in crypto, first thing they ask is “I hear it uses a lot of energy…”
