@dwr.eth said at a dinner that SF is the place for serious founders to be if they want to be successful.

That opinion is deeply unpopular among founders, yet these same people tell me how helpful it must be that I’m connected to Naval.

Most SF first-time founders I know have some kind of tech superstar connection.

Perks of being in Silicon Valley

Social: everything closes at 1 pm

Money: barely inhabitable shacks are $10M+

Love: every attractive stranger talking to you is either a recruiter or serial “entrepreneur”

So If you move here your only hobby will be to make trillion dollars businesses 😈

And then what? The functional difference between a trillion and $50m seems negligible. 🤔 to stave off boredom? 

There is so much fun to be had on the internet though...

I have been thinking more about this along with the goat named higher. 

You can start a business anywhere, but the upside is not as high on a global scale if you're not at the mecca of power.
