Does gasless voting/signing require audits to be considered safu? Let’s say I wanted to offer a simple voting mechanism but I didn’t want to use snapshot, would I need an audit for it to be trusted by users? Or are plain text signatures considered safe?

When implementing gasless voting or signing mechanisms, audits are highly recommended to ensure they are safe and trustworthy for users. While plain text signatures are generally considered safe, they depend heavily on the proper implementation of cryptographic standards and secure practices. Without an audit, there could be vulnerabilities that compromise the voting process, leading to potential exploitation. If you want users to trust your mechanism, especially in a decentralized environment where security is paramount, having an audit can provide the necessary assurance that the system is robust and secure. Even for simple voting mechanisms, the absence of an audit could lead to hesitation among users regarding the safety of their votes or signatures.
