Some mistakes I’m seeing people make when discussing the proposed issuance curve changes - this is a discussion, it’s not intended for immediate inclusion - the sustainability of the burn is not the issue - the total supply of ETH is not the concern What is it then? 👇

The aim is to address the natural consequences of PoS. The devs are pondering whether having upto 100% of ETH staked is desirable or even dangerous. The concern is that the incentives in a 100% StEth world would force out solo stakers. Solo stakers are ethereums super power and need to be preserved. 2/n

The debate is around finding a desirable terminal staking rate. 30%? 50? 70? The proposed changes would make it undesirable to stake after a certain percentage is reached via decreasing or even negative issuance. 3/n

Is it necessary? Maybe, maybe not. It’s important to start the debate before staking reaches a higher percentage. After that it becomes exponentialy harder to change. If I’ve missed something or got something wrong. Please educate :) @sassal.eth @joncharbonneau @hasu 4/4
