All publicity is good publicity..... right? Let’s not forget we’re dealing with real people and real lives here. We’re faced with someone whose life was completely turned upside down, who seems genuinely remorseful, keen to right their wrongs, and make amends. How about we hold off on mud-throwing until a solution is found? Poor journalism. 🤮

Of the two routes presented what do you think is likely? A. Complete the project w no funds and no company backing? …and likely have no one really care it was completed or help amplify it? B. Return 138 eth ?? Seems impossible tbh. No? Unless eth hits 10$ then should be easy. If it goes up tho to where it was when the prop passed 😬 Seems like the DAO would rather just lean into the joke of it all now. Maybe that’s mean. But it’s the only thing they’ve gotten. People trying to make lemonade from lemons. The rug has become part of nouns lore. Yes at his expense. Sucks for him personally. But what are you suggesting the dao do? Give positive feedback, thank him for finally showing up and trust he won’t disappear AGAIN this time?

I’ve told @fortblocks straight up that convincing the community to rally behind a new proposal is extremely unlikely - no funds, no company, and trust issues from his actions make it an incredibly tough sell. But that’s not my main point. It’s the human side, and I don’t agree with how this has been handled. Whether his story’s true or false, naming and shaming, amplifying it through retweets and articles, feels very off to me, especially when we’ve been told he’s about to address the community. Right now, he’s saying he’s committed to making amends and piecing his life back together. We’ve waited 3 years, we can wait a few weeks to sort this the right way without pushing him back into the dark place he’s climbing out of. Unfortunately for him, I feel returning the funds, whatever that looks like, is really the only way forward. But I’m willing to hear him out.
