zora’s “spark” unit is starting to grow on me. 1 spark being one millionth of 1 eth. we have gwei but that’s one billionth of an eth and that’s just too small. 111 sparks (price of 1 mint) is around 30 cents right now. 1 spark is around a quarter of a cent. i feel like there’s a decent chance this sticks https://zora.co/writings/sparks

I think they lowered the fee too much tbh.. most creators feel the same.. while people who post random photos for their friend to mint are okay with it, sure.. but the whole cap on number of mints, cost, etc.. not great for creators and artists who now get like 3 cents per mint instead of 30 cents. The low earning feels masked by the sparks being inflated just to cover up how little creators make on zora now compared to a few months ago before they forced the change to their contracts on us all 🤷‍♂️😬

is the price change at the protocol level or their app?

Protocol I believe. And auto shit after 200 mints. (Well 24 hours) . Lots of lack of control and buggy interface. I prefer decimals. Not inflated large numbers like a mass inflationary Weimar spiral.

yea i believe it started with the lowered fee.. then they added the 'sparks' layer on top (which makes it look like creators are getting more than .0000111 or whatever it is per mint now.. no OE's.. etc..
