the only use case i’ve found for wireless iphone chargers is using them when my phone got very wet and gives that liquid warning when you try to charge it

That and if they quit charging via cord is the only great use case. I've seen some mounts used in cars that wirelessly charge. That could be useful. But in general, they are slower and not as efficient.
